News & updates module

3 min read

Have you added a new class to the schedule, changed your opening hours for the holidays or planned a special 'bring a friend' promotion? You can now share all of this with your members.

To add a post to the member app home screen, first go to Company settings -> Mobile app personalization to activate this section.

Then go to News & updates to add a post. In the top right corner, click Add news & updates.

Then enter the required information and write your news item or update.

1. The basics (title and media)

  • News title: Enter a catchy title for your post here. This is the first thing members see.

  • Article media (maximum 5): Click the plus icon to add images or videos. Visual content helps increase engagement.

2. Categories and details

  • Choose category (maximum 3): Select the category or categories for this post (e.g. 'News', 'Events' or 'Training tips'). You can also create new ones through 'Manage category'.

  • Estimated reading time: Enter approximately how many minutes it takes to read the article. This helps members decide whether to read it now or later.

  • Show publication date: Choose the date and time when the post should become visible. Leave this field empty to publish it immediately.

  • Coach for this article: Select the coach to display as the sender of the post.

  • Visibility: Choose who can see the post (e.g. 'All users' or a specific audience).

3. Writing the content

  • News content: Use the text editor to write your article. Several formatting options are available:

    • Text styles (bold, italic, underlined).

    • Bullets and numbering.

    • Adding links (hyperlinks), images and quotes.

    • You can even add source code using the </> button.

4. Post settings (toggles)

At the bottom, you can control how the post works with the following options:

  • Publish: Turn this on to make the post live for members.

  • Show publication date: Display the date and time alongside the post in the app.

  • Hide author: Enable this if you do not want members to see which coach published the post.

  • Allow comments: This lets members comment below the post (interaction).

  • Allow likes: Members can give the post a heart.

  • Hide view count: Members will then be unable to see how often the post has been viewed.

  • Show in Advice: This also makes the post appear in the app's specific 'Advice list'.

5. Finishing up

When you are ready, click the Publish button in the top right to send or schedule your post.

Check whether the post is active and, if necessary, change this using the 3 dots in the top right corner of the post.

Your post is now visible on your members' home screen:
