What are notes and how do they work?

3 min read

FITsociety offers several types of notes for tracking important member information. Below we explain how to add and manage notes:

How to add personal notes, also called coach notes:

  1. Go to the members section:

    • Navigate to the ‘Members’ button to see a list of all your members.

  2. Select the member:

    • Click the name of the member you want to add a note for.

  3. Open general information:

    • Make sure you are in the member's profile, under the tab 'General information', located at the top left of your screen.

  4. Add a note:

    • On this screen, add notes about the member's experience level, goals or other important details. Enter the note and save it.

These notes remain linked to the member and help you track important details, giving you a clear overview of their progress and needs.

You can choose whether to share the note with your member or keep it for yourself and internal use only.

There are also three types of daily notes members can enter in the app. These help you and the member share important information about wellbeing, workouts and nutrition plans. The check-ups give you a complete picture of how the member feels and performs, providing useful input for program adjustments.

Please note: these notes are between coach and member.

1. Training notes

  • In the Training note the member can reflect on that day's workout. They can indicate:

    • How the workout went: was it hard or did it go well?

    • Which exercises they found difficult or did not understand fully.

    • Whether they want specific feedback or adjustments for future workouts.

2. Nutrition note

  • In the Nutrition note the member can report whether they followed their nutrition plan. They can also:

    • Give feedback about the plan: was it manageable, or did they struggle?

    • Request dietary changes or suggest new meals.

    3. daily note

    • In the daily note the member can indicate how they feel that day. This gives you insight into their mental wellbeing, which may affect training and motivation. For example:

      • Are they stressed, tired or motivated?

      • Do they have enough energy for their planned workout?

How to view the notes:

As a trainer, you can easily view member notes by following these steps:

  1. Click the members button: Go to the Members section of the web app to view your members.

  2. Select the member: Click the name of the member whose notes and check-ups you want to view.

  3. View the notes: Under the member's 'Progress and activity', scroll to the bottom of the page to find the three different check-ups.

1. Training note: Feedback about how the workout went that day.

2. Nutrition note: A report on how well the member followed the nutrition plan.

3. Daily note: Insight into the member's daily wellbeing.
