Connecting Zapier to FITsociety

2 min read

Zapier lets FITsociety work with other apps. For example, send a new member to your CRM or give an existing member an onboarding tag after a form submission. Such an automation is called a Zap.

What do you need?

  • A FITsociety account with manager or administrator access and permission to manage company integrations.

  • A Zapier account and access to the other app to connect.

  • Authorization to process the selected company and member data with those services.

FITsociety charges no additional fee for the Zapier integration. Your normal FITsociety subscription still applies. Zapier and other apps may have their own subscription costs.

Step 1: Open the integration from FITsociety

  1. Log in to FITsociety and select the correct company.

  2. Go to Settings → Plugins and integrations.

  3. Open Zapier and click Connect to Zapier.

  4. Accept the FITsociety invitation in Zapier if prompted.

The integration is currently available through the FITsociety invitation. Cannot find FITsociety in Zapier's general app catalog? Use the button in FITsociety. If the button is missing or the invitation fails, contact support.

Step 2: Grant access to your company

  1. Add a FITsociety step to your Zap and create a new account connection.

  2. Log in to FITsociety if prompted.

  3. Choose the company for this automation.

  4. Read the permissions and separate confirmations for health data and private communications. Authorize only if you may grant this access for your company.

  5. Click Allow access and complete the connection in Zapier.

You do not need to copy an API key for Zapier. One connection belongs to one FITsociety company. Create a separate connection for another company.

Step 3: Test and enable your Zap

Choose a trigger, map the desired next action and test with recognizable test data. Check the result in the receiving app too. Only then enable the Zap and review the first real execution in Zap history. A connected account alone does not start automation.

Revoking access later

First turn off the relevant Zaps. Revoke an individual FITsociety connection through Settings → Plugins and integrations → Public API, if your account may manage that access. Otherwise ask your company administrator or FITsociety support for help. Disconnecting or disabling the entire Zapier integration revokes all Zapier connections for that company. Data already stored in another app is not deleted.
