Why can calories and/or macros differ?
The product database has two sources:

1. Supermarket database (verified items)
   Data comes directly from Dutch supermarkets and is updated regularly. Products from this source have the green check icon “verified” and are generally very reliable.

2. User-created products
   Members can add items to record missing or homemade products. This can sometimes introduce errors or outdated formulations into the database.

What can you do if calories or macros are incorrect?

1. Check for the green check mark
   No check mark? It was probably created by a user.

2. Report inaccuracies
   In the top right, tap ⋯ → Report product and explain what is wrong with the product and what the correct values should be. This lets us verify and correct them quickly.

3. Use a verified alternative or temporarily create your own version

   • Search by name or scan again until you find the version with a green check mark.

   • Or temporarily add your own product with the correct values if you log it frequently.

We check every report manually and update the central database as quickly as possible.
