Setting macro targets for a member

1 min read

Where do you set macros?

Go to: Members → open member → Goal tab

Step 1: Check the calorie target

Make sure the calorie target is already set (manually or through the intake). Macros are calculated as percentages or grams of this total.

Step 2: Set the macro distribution

  1. Open the tab Goal in the member profile

  2. Click Edit next to the macro distribution

  3. Enter the desired percentages or grams:

    • Protein (e.g. 30% or 150g)

    • Carbohydrates (e.g. 40% or 200g)

    • Fat (e.g. 30% or 65g)

  4. Check that the percentages add up to 100%

  5. Save

Common distributions

  • Weight loss: 35% protein / 30% carbohydrates / 35% fat

  • Muscle building: 30% protein / 45% carbohydrates / 25% fat

  • Maintenance: 25% protein / 50% carbohydrates / 25% fat

What does the member see in the app?

For each meal entry, the member sees a progress bar for each macro. The dashboard displays circles for calories and the three macros. Even without a meal plan, the member can log food freely and see the macro targets as a guide.

Are macros calculated automatically?

Yes — if the intake is completed in full, FITsociety automatically calculates an initial recommendation. You can always adjust this manually.
