Using exercises and adding your own exercises

2 min read

Where can you find the exercise library?

📍 Through the left menu: Training → Exercises

Here you see a visual overview of all available exercises, with a photo or animation for each exercise and an equipment type label.

The three tabs

  • Library — all standard FITsociety exercises, ready to use

  • My exercises — exercises you created yourself

  • Members — exercises members have added themselves through the app

Searching and filtering

  • Type in the search bar at the top to search for an exercise by name

  • Click the filter icon to the right of the search bar to filter by muscle group, equipment, level or exercise type

Viewing an exercise

Click an exercise to open its detail page. You see:

  • Video or animation showing correct technique — switch between video and image using the button in the top right

  • Target muscles — highlighted on a body figure and as a radar chart (spider chart) for each muscle group: Chest / Shoulders / Back / Biceps / Triceps / Quads / Glutes / Hamstrings

  • Equipment — the equipment you need

  • Description — an explanation of technique; click Show more for the full text

Creating your own exercise

Is an exercise missing? Create it yourself:

  1. Click + Add exercise in the top right

  2. Enter: name, muscle groups, equipment type, level and technique description

  3. Optionally add a video (YouTube link or upload) or image

  4. Click Save

Your exercise now appears under the tab My exercises and is immediately available in all your templates.

💡 Tip: Always add an instructional video or photo. This helps members understand exactly how the exercise works, even when you are not there.
