Filling and fine-tuning meal plans

3 min read

1. Day management and structure

Set the plan's structure at the top of the meal plan. A plan may contain one day or a full weekly schedule.

  • Add days: Click the plus icon (+) to the right of the day titles to add a new day to the plan.

  • Day options (three dots ⋮): Next to each day's name is an options menu for quick actions:

    • Duplicate day: Copies the full content (meals, products and proportions) to a new day within the same plan. Ideal for creating variations or repeating successful days.

    • Edit name: Change a day's title to, for example, "Rest day", "High-carbohydrate day" or "Weekend".

    • Copy day: Copies the day to another plan. Easily add variety to different plans by copying days between them.

2. Adding food to meal times

The plan is divided into fixed meal times: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks.

Assigning products and recipes

  1. Select the meal time: Click the desired meal time block (e.g. Lunch). The blue indicator shows this meal time is active.

  2. Search & select: Use the search bar in the side panel to browse:

    • The recipe library (7.500+ items): Complete meals with preparation instructions.

    • The product database (154.000+ items): Individual ingredients, barcodes and verified products.

    • Recently used recipes or products: Find recipes and products you used previously.

  3. Confirm: Clicking the 'plus' icon next to an item immediately adds it to the selected meal time.

3. Customizing recipes (ingredient level)

One of the most advanced features lets you change a recipe within a plan without affecting the original in the library.

Expanding and editing recipes

  • Dropdown arrow: Click the arrow beside an added recipe to open its contents. You now see all individual ingredients making up the recipe.

  • Individual changes: Within this specific plan, you can remove ingredients from the recipe or manually adjust individual quantities (e.g. less oil or extra chicken).

Smart scaling

When you adjust the total quantity (serving size) of the complete recipe, the system works intelligently:

  • The software automatically calculates the new proportions for all underlying ingredients.

  • This keeps the protein, carbohydrate and fat proportions exactly the same while scaling total calories to your target.

4. Live macro monitoring and targets

You do not need to calculate manually while building the plan. Four live charts appear at the top:

  • Kcal (Calories): Total calories for the selected day.

  • Protein (blue), Carbohydrates (orange), Fat (green): The grams and percentage distribution of macronutrients.

Pro tip: efficient variety

Want a 7-day plan? First perfect one day. Then duplicate it six times using the 3-dot option. You only need to replace dinner or a snack each day to create a varied weekly plan while keeping macro targets stable throughout!
